New Home
I'm so excited we're moving to Pleasant Grove right across the street from our best friends Ryan & Jen!! It takes so long to close on a house for AZ, and we really wanted to be all settled in our own place for when Braxie comes in like 3 weeks:) So we'll be in Utah just a little while longer. I actually love Utah so I don't mind..my husband will say differently though about the snow. I'll post pics as soon as we get all moved in this week!! It was such a blessing that our good friends told us about that place, and that we're able to get all moved in this week..I'm a happy girl! ;)

Our very first Anniversary!!!

YAY! Married for one whole year! Since our anniversary falls on Halloween every year, we decided that we would celebrate it early so that we can still have an awesome holiday;) Brandon took me to Salt Lake City for a couple days. We stayed in the Anniversary Inn and in the coolest rooms! The first night was the 'Sultan's Palace' and the next night was the 'Enchanted Forest'. Coolest hotel ever! Seriously. We stayed there the night of our wedding and decided it was just too cool and that we should go back again;) We got in our comfy jammies and went to go see 'Couples Retreat' since my husband LOVES going to movies. We got a big thing of yummy popcorn and soda, and loved the movie. On Friday night we went out to the Melting Pot restaurant and it was amazing! Its like a 5 course Fondue meal..super expensive..but super worth it! Oh, we just had so much fun hanging out together it was a great anniversary!

Carving Pumpkins Round 2
We had such a blast carving pumpkins a couple weeks ago that we did it again! I bought a ton of cotton candy and we headed over to Ryan and Jen's house w/ Mark & Tana, Chase & Jessica, Ryan & Jen, and Brandon and me. Jen and I carved a puppy, Brandon carved a barfing pumpkin, Ryan carved an evil pumpkin, Mark carved a bum hahah, and Tana carved this amazing spooky tree. Mark's pumpkin won the award of being the grossest! haha Brandon and he even went to the store and bought some tootsie rolls and made it look like it was pooping. YUCK! It was lots of fun though and great to hang out with all of our friends we love ;)

BYU vs. TCU game

Right after my baby shower, Brandon came and picked me up with Brock and Erica, and we headed over to Provo for the BYU game. All I was wearing was my BYU Jersey and as we got walking over to Burger Supreme where we were going to eat, it started pouring rain! My hubby was so smart and brought his byu coat and hat in the car so I was able to stay dry :) We got some hot cocoa as we waited for the game, and it finally cleared up right as it started. BYU lost, but we had a great time together! Later that night, we got some Panda Express and then watched a scary movie back at our place with Brock and Erica.

Carving Pumpkins

We had a blast last night carving pumpkins over at Kristian's house. We went to Albertsons with Kristian and his date Jenny to pick everything out, and then we went back to their house and got to work. Kristian and Jenny were done carving in like 5 minutes I swear lol. Brandon and I took forever on our pumpkins and made a BYU and a seahawks one. Then we all watched a scary movie called 'the uninvited' together. What a fun date!

Back home to Utah

Well, its been a little while since my last post. I finally feel like we are finally all back home and moved in ;) We've spent extensive time cleaning, unpacking, and organizing the basement so that has been a lot of work..but boy am I glad to be home to utah! We got to go to Olive Garden with my bestie Shannie, her husband Jeremy, Brand, and my brother Tavin who was in town. It was so much fun to catch up! My sweet husband also bought Shannie's Wii and Wii fit and i've been on it faithfully every day ;) It feel so good to do yoga, and all the fun games on it every day and keeps me in shape. As far as football goes, I'm beating Brandon at picks so I am really happy about that haha. We are so dang competitive over everything! We were playing Tiger Woods Golf on the Wii, and Wii Sports and its so funny because i'm really good at some games, and he is at others. But lets say i'm beating Brandon at something, he'll throw the remote down and say 'forget it. this is a dumb game. my remote isn't working' and vice versa when i'm losing! we are such poor sports hahah! Our one year anniversary is coming up at the end of this month so we are both stoked about that! We're going to the anniversary inn for 2 nights, and then doing fun things around Salt Lake City..including a dinner reservation at the melting pot! :) mmmm Brandon, Kristian, and Drew's business has been doing really well also! Brandon leaves the house early every morning in a shirt and tie and doesn't get home till later, and they are meeting with more and more business clients everyday. My husband is even excited to get my Boutique business up on an official website so that I can get more sales with that. I don't have a whole lot to do each day without a job (besides cleaning, etc..) so I have been doing my Boutique, and also selling random crap around the house on ebay! hahah I've made just about $300 by getting rid of our old stuff that doesn't work anymore..so that feels good. Snow is finally getting on the mountains i'm so excited! I love the cold weather! My husband hates it though, so thats why i've compensated to go to AZ. I've got 10 more weeks of this pregnant belly, and then i'm FREE! hahah maybe? I just can't wait to get in shape again..and to move to AZ. A lot is happening these next few months, lets just hope it goes by fast!

BYU beats OKLAHOMA!
As we headed over to Fabian's to watch the game, Brandon bragged to everyone how he was going to run through a corn field naked if BYU won. Everyone laughed, but no one expected BYU to pull out a 14-13 victory! As promised, Jared, Paul and Brandon went to walmart to buy some jock straps and paint. Emily and I painted BYU on their chests and they made this silly video.. Surprisingly, it got posted on cougarblue and other byu sites and there was over 100 views the first night i put it up on youtube. lol how funny.....
ps. If you have seen the movie "Field of Dreams", you will get the joke to this ;)

Caribbean!!
So I am a little late, but things have been busy lately moving around a lot as our summer comes to an end. We just returned from a BOMB vacation on a cruise to the Caribbean. We flew in a night early to Fort Lauderdale and stayed in the Westin Hotel. It was amazing!! Iguanas roamed the poolside, and we went down and walked along the beach and played in the ocean with Jared and Emily. Then we feasted every d
ay on the cruise, and took advantage of all the fun things to do. Brandon was a little naughty and gambled, but he made us over a hundred dollars on craps! :)
hahah i always tell him no to the casino on the ship, but he persuades me
every time by saying he doens't go into it wanting to make money, but rather just spend money on entertainment.. he is such a good salesman... (he did after all get me to marry him ) :) So i caved, and it didn't turn out so bad hahah. We took Kayaks out to 7 mile beach on the Grand Cayman islands and used our AMAZING underwater digital camera (which by the way was the best thing we've ever spent our money on) to snorkel for a few hours. The next stop was Cozumel, and we took advantage of all the good shopping and I got stuff for my little brothers and sisters at home because they always beg me to :)

Nauvoo

I forgot I hadn't put up pictures yet from Nauvoo! While my mom was in town visiting, Brandon took the day off and we went to Nauvoo :) We started out by doing a session at the Nauvoo temple and it was beautiful there! !! The staircase inside is amazing :)
I recommend everyone to check it out when there. While inside, Brandon and I finally got our sure answer that we need to buy a house in AZ :) It made us both so happy! We also ran into a senior missionary couple that was on Brandon's mission too...B was stoked to see them. We ate at the Zion's Mercantile and it was very yummy. And then we walked around a bit, and saw how bricks were made and got a free Nauvoo brick hahah lol. We were going to stay for the pageant, but it got late fast and we were all tired (me mostly cause of baby boy inside me haha) But i'm SOO glad we went. Who knows when we'll get the next chance to go to freaking Nauvoo. Here are some pics...

Baby Predictions
So my mom has finally arrived to Davenport to visit us :) We are loving every minute of it. After sacrament meeting today, we raced over to the airport to pick her up and then we had a yummy dinner together. Then, we went with Emily and Jared and we all went to the Frisbee Golf Park. My mom and I layed on a blanket in the sun and everyone else played some frisbee. After that, Brandon, my mom and I went and played some basketball at the court in our apartment complex. We taught my mom how to shoot right :) Tomorrow, Brandon has to work so my mom and I will have some fun shopping, and running errands..and then on Wednesday, we are all going to Nauvoo! We will do a session at the temple, and then we will tour around all the church history sites, and finally..we will see the pageant that is going on! We are so excited :)

Life is good!

This summer Brandon and I have paid off over $25,000 of debt! Brandon has been working so hard managing his sales office, and we have saved every paycheck to put towards paying everything off and always paying a full tithing first. We've been so blessed to have a beautiful apartment to live in, and to not have to pay rent. I was sick for a while with my pregnancy, but it has finally passed and I have been able to clean and cook everyday for my wonderful husband. We're so grateful to have met Jared and Emily who came out to sell with Brandon. They have been so much fun to hang out with, and it is so rewarding to finally have friends that hold the same standards as we do :)
Often I think about all the things I might be missing out on since we only were married 6 months before I became pregnant..What if I was able to finish my Bachelor's Degree? What if we could have traveled to several places? What if we both could have worked for a couple years to save up a lot of money? But none of those things matter, and we can't take them with us to the next life. As I was talking to Brandon about all of this, my wise husband looked at me and said, "Mel, we are going to be so blessed for being unselfish and starting our family right away like the prophet has advised. We will ALWAYS have time to finish all of those things if we really want to. But this is the most important right now." I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful husband who will always lead our family in righteousness! Whenever I am down, he always is there to lift me up. We compliment each other perfectly! And soon we will have a cute little boy or girl that I can't wait to start teaching to them all the things that I know, and to be the best Mom ever.
Thanks to my hard-working husband, we will soon be moved into a beautiful house In Arizona and I can finally be close to my mom's side of the family that i have missed SO dang much! I didnt' get to spend any time with them growing up, so this will make up for it. I'm so grateful that Brandon is so 'business smart'. Whenever we need money, he always has a plan. He is so good at coming up with new ways to gain profit, and by starting little businesses. I am just so proud of him, and for everything he does. You can really look at life and think of all the things you might be missing out on, but really there is just so much you are blessed with if you choose to live right :) And I couldn't be happier!

Harry Potter night

Last night Brandon took his office to TGI-Fridays and we all had dinner there. I actually really enjoyed it..i hadn't been before. Then, we all went to the midnight showing of Harry Potter. I'm not a fan, but my husband is obsessed so I went along cause I love him :) Emily's husband Jared and Brandon ran over to a tree as soon as we pulled into the parking lot at the theatre and they broke off some twigs for wands lol. Before we knew it, they were casting spells on everyone in the parking lot hahah. Brandon and Jared walked together..Brandon would walk towards someone pointing his wand at him and saying a spell, and then Jared would scream a spell on them right after. It was the funniest thing in the world! Emily and I almost pee'd our pants laughing :) Brandon's phone died so I couldn't take any pics of them with their wands. But it was just TOO funny to see two men in their mid 20's pulling a serious wizard face and casting spells on random people sarcastically. I think everyone wanted to smack them as we waited in line for like an hour haha. (By the way the movie sucked lol)

BEST PUPPY EVER!

Brandon and I were laughing at how we have had our dog Boudy for over 6 months and the only trick we have taught him is how to 'sit' on command. Of course he is potty-trained which is nice. But one of the guys out here in Brand's office, John, has a yellow lab who is the best trained dog I have ever seen. John has spent so much time training Sheffer and now he is so obedient. He has even trained his dog to close doors! LOL He'll leave a door open and point and say "door" and Sheffer will stand on his hind legs and with both paws, close the door! Brandon and I decided that we wanted our dog to be that cool :) Within two days, my amazing husband had Boudy trained to lay down, roll-over, come, stay, jump, and finally...to actually bring his toy to us when we're playing fetch. The other day I was laying on the couch, kinda feelin icky like I have been with this pregnancy.. and I threw my empty water bottle towards the trash. Of course I am a soccer player and I completley suck at basketball, so it didn't make it in. Boudy LOVES to chew on water bottles though, and he brought it over to me after i threw it, thinking i wanted to play catch with him. I've started to train him to put trash in the trash bin (which conveniently is his height when he jumps up:) How cool is that? I can be lazy and sit on my bum and throw garbage on the floor and my dog will clean up for me! hahah He already sweeps my floor by getting to all the crumbs, but soon i'll have a maid! LOL

4th of July Weekend

We had a blast this last weekend! Jen and Ryan's office met up with us here in Davenport, and then we all drove to Ottawa, Illinois where we rented a houseboat on the Illinois River. We anchored along the beach
and then bbq'd some yummy food. There was a sweet slide on the houseboat that was fun to go off

of into the river. Jen and I bought some fun floatie toys that we would go float on out in the river and hang out on. Marky and Ryan brought illegal fireworks and put on a heck of a show for us on the beach...except for Marky burnt his hand WAY bad and we were all worried about him. Luckily he was okay and a great sport about it...he actually came back out and kept lighting more :) The next day we rented a speed boat, and had fun tubing and drivin around the river. I had so much fun that I stayed on the boat ALL day and ended up with the worst sunburn of my life! I guess i forgot how much i had stayed inside while i've been so sick with my pregnancy. I just loved finally being able to have fun and being out in the sun because i've finally started to feel better! ( Hopefully i didn't jinx myself lol) We snuck Boudy on the houseboat and Jen's cute little dog Bear. They had a blast together and are best buds...they loved playing tug-a-war with Brandon's socks:) It was hard to leave and go back to the real world where Brandon has to be gone ALL day working and making sales, but the next thing we get to look forward too is our cruise in the end of August so we're excited for that!

I'll mainly be selling them through our family owned bookstore in Washington, but maybe i'll get a few bites from the blog i've set up....

B's first Father's Day

(Here is Brandon waking up to play his xbox game like he does every morning before i wake up. He has his usual goofy mohawk from sleeping on his hair so weird hahah)
Two days ago, Brandon opened the door to the UPS guy who delivered his Father's Day present I got him....i was so mad! He knew it was the Globe shoes he had been wanting because of the box that gave it away, but at least he didn't know what color and style i got him. I really wanted to get him something special for being a father his first time, but he REALLY wanted those shoes so i got those. I didn't let him open them until this morning though :) We've had a wonderful little day together though just spending time together since its finally his day off (he only gets sundays dangit!) As the day went on, I asked him what he would most like to do for his father's day. He said, "well, i'd like to make myself some cinnamon rolls, and then i wanna play my game." His 'game' is Civiliation on our xbox which he plays like every single day. But i let him cause he works so much and its his favorite thing to do :) Hope all the fathers out there each have their own special day!!

A Scary Night

Iowa has the scariest thunderstorms and tornados that I have ever seen! Last night it sounded like a war was right outside our apartment...and I couldn't sleep. The thunder rumbled our apartment, and the lightning lit up our dark house through the windows. I was actually really frightened! But Brandon was the cutest husband...i woke him up cause i was so scared, and he stayed up with me and snuggled with me on the couch and we watched Juno together until I finally fell asleep. He's done such a good job working out here and being the best manager, and dealing with everyone elses problems in the office. And all his hard work has made us so much money out here. He just takes care of everybody, and never has time to rest or take some time to himself. Brandon is such a good husband! I love him so much :)

Not a fan!

Maybe I'm too old fashioned...but trying to mix 'punk rock' with a beautiful white wedding gown is NOT okay. Wearing tennis shoes with a formal dress....UGLY. I can't count how many people I've seen wearing converse with their gorgeous, fancy, prom dress. How can anyone think that looks good? I asked Brandon his thoughts on it to see if I was just being ridiculous and he looked at me with that little boy look of disgust (ya know the one where you put a lemon on the kid's plate and watch them innocently pick it up and lick it cause they don't know any better?) he said , "Ugh..trashy". I just think it takes away from all the hard work you put into looking 'dressed up'. Ok, so maybe I am crazy but i just had to get that little rant off of my mind haha :)

Davenport, Iowa

So we've been in Iowa now for just about a month, however it's seemed like a lifetime! I've had the lucky pleasure of being on bedrest because of my bad morning sickness. Whoever decided to call it 'morning' sickness...its really ALL day sickness anyway. I'm such an active person though, and laying in bed every day is making me want to rip my hair out! Hopefully this will end soon in about 2 weeks when i finally go into the 2nd Trimester. The drive here was hilarious...I was throwing up every 2 hours so Brandon had to consistently pull over for that haha.
It's gorgeous here though! Everyone warned me of Iowa being a huge corn hole- but i actually REALLY like it here. Our apartments are so nice...they are 2,000 a month (luckily Brandon's boss pays for it) there is a pool, gym, hot tub, and tanning place...just too bad i haven't been able to leave the apt

to go have fun! Once i'm out having fun everyday i may just have a hard time leavin this place ;) We're right along the Mississippi river...here are pics of Davenport, and our cute apartments!

I'm Pregnant!

So we are having a baby! I found out today by taking a pregnancy test. My best friend Jen and I talked about how we might want to wait because of the end of the summer cruise in August to the Bahamas that we’re going on…but Brandon and I were just too excited. He was on the phone with his boss Eric for FOREVER so I just went and secretly took the test by myself and then I wrote a text message on his phone. He was so excited…his face lit up! We first called and told my mom. She balled of course…knew she would J And then I told my little sister Sandy-Kaye on the phone and told her she was going to be an aunt. She was SO excited she ran throughout the house telling everyone in the family. I don’t know if I’ve been feeling morning sickness, but I have been feeling a little different. My tummy has felt a little funny and I’ve been more nauseated than ever. I KNEW I had to be pregnant…but Brandon kept doubting it. A woman always knows! J We told all the Cox’s, and we went upstairs and told the Boudreaux’s. And then we sent out a massive text to all of our friends and put it on face book, so my phone has been going off non-stop! There is just so much to start thinking about we don’t know where to start thinking! But it is a happy day!

Jazz Game

I went to my first Jazz game against the Houston Rockets. Marky and Kim doubled with us and we scalped our tickets for about 10 bucks. We kept making fun of this asian kid who was sitting behind us rooting for the rockets. Marky brought stink bombs with him, so he went up on the row behind that asian kid and stepped on it..then he casually came back to his seat. We looked up a minute later and the whole row had cleared out hahahah. During half time, the Jazz bear was gonig around to the security guards with money and said he would give them $1 to dance for him. Most of the security guards wouldn't do it, but this huge fat guy resembling Chris Farley got down and dirty and took his suit jac
ket off and also his shirt, and was bouncing his belly fat everywhere hahah it was great. Now everytime they show the Jazz games on tv, they show that replay and make fun of it and it reminds me of when we were there :) Jazz ended up winning that game by a few points. Now they are in the playoffs, so lets just hope that can stay in ! :)

Salt Lake ReAL Soccer Game

Brandon and I attended our first ReAL soccer game Saturday night. I almost thought i was in Seattle by all the downpour of rain in SALT LAKE CITY IN THE FREAKING SPRING!! Nevertheless, we were lucky by getting seats up high in the stadium with a cover, so we stayed a little dry :) We also brought our huge red fleece blanket which kept Ryan, Jen, Me, and Brandon nice and cozy. I was yelled at twice by the security crew because i had an umbrella (which is a serious weapon that is clearly not allowed and on EVERY sign as you walk toward the stadium)...pshh OK! they wanted us to throw it away, but we refused so that's where the big red blanket came in handy :) :) Now, football and basketball games are awesome to go to..but you will never see a real fan, until you go to a soccer game. People go ballistic! there were these two blonde ten year olds sitting next to us screaming and the top of their lungs at the ref's. hahah we could NOT stop laughing. Also, this guy in front of us did this gay little rodeo dance everytime the ReAL scored...it was awesome. We ended up beating the DC united by a point at the end of the game...but the best part of it all was when fans threw huge rolls of streamers onto the field and since there were so many and they couldn't stop the game, the players kept running, and it got all caught up in their cleats :) hahah

Snow Camping

We had a blast Thursday night headin up to American Fork Canyon where we camped for the night.. there was still about 2 feet of snow and it was chilly! Brandon decided to bring one of our easiest tents to set up..however it only fit 2 people barely and was tiny. Everyone laughed at us cause they all had the nice 11-men tents, and here we were in this tiny little orange mexican tent. hhahah We tried to bring our dog Boudy but he kept falling in the snow holes, and we could never find him cause he is so small and white :) So Jen and I drove him home and we also grabbed tons of jackets and more blankets once we found out how freezing it really was. We stayed up until about 1 am roastin hot dogs and s'mores around the fire. We told tons of stories, and jokes, and for some reason..we got on the topic of religion and starting discussing all the the deep "i wonder" questions. It was awesome though and we reall
y got to bond with all our buddies. Jen and I busted out some glow sticks around the fire and then we discovered that they BLOW UP in the fire and squirt the fluid everywhere on us! hahah Brandon and I were the first to head to bed in our little tent. We didn't bring enough sleeping bags and blankets and we were SO cold! We were snuggling so tight but it wasn't working. I was sleeping on 2 rocks as well...so after waking up like every hour we finally went out by the fire to get warm. All our friends were still out there chatting...so we just stayed up until about 4 am with them. Then we moved all our blankets into the back of the 4runner, layed down the se
ats, and had a warm, cozy, rest of the night. It was a blast...but i sure can't wait to go again when its actually SUMMER! :)

MOTIVATION POSTER

Jen and I have often discussed how frustrating it is for Brandon and Ryan's job to always interfere with EVERYTHING! Since it is so close to us leaving to Davenport for the summer, all the boys are doing is recruiting and work, work, work. Of course i'm excited for all the money we will have after all their hard work, but it feels like we have ZERO time with our men because they are always on the phone and with their friends trying to 'recruit' them. I'm not working as of now because we are leaving so soon...so basically i've just been doing cooking, laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, etc... So Jen and I decided that we are going to get into really great shape like how i was in the air force. We've been running 3 miles a day, and then doing yoga, push-ups, and sit-ups on the wii fit. So at least we can be accomplishing something and feel good since we're always bored without our husbands. I have created a 'motivation poster' in which has sayings and pictures that motivate me to be in the best shape i can. I put it right on the door to our pantry where all our junk food is...such as chips, cookies, candy, etc... So far, it's working out great and i'm starting to love running again. I've always loved lifting weights and going to the gym, but the air force made me hate running as they made us run at 3 in the morning until we puked. But i'm so grateful to have Jen in my life! She comes over here at 9 every morning and then we get to spend a little time together as buds :)

Spring Break in Arizona

Brandon has been in Iowa this week selling and testing out the Iowa area for this summer. I didn't want to be home alone, so I drove down to Arizona to hang out with family. My great-grandmother Renee has just turned 90! WOW! Lolo, Colby, and Tylee drove from Texas and we all met up here for a little family reunion. We've had fun laying out by the pool, playing football, watching movies, and staying up late every night! Colby and I also went Lazer Tagging and it was a blast. Summer, Lolo, Mimi, and I will be going to the Mesa Temple tomorrow too which will be awesome :) Pops doesn't like Boudy in the house, so he has been hanging outside in the sun a lot this week and running around. However, every night when Pops goes to bed, Colby sneaks him in and he sleeps with me :) Now Boudy never growls...but EVERY time during the night when Great Grandma Renee would get up to go to the bathroom several times during the night, Boudy popped his head up and growled and barked. hahahah i dunno what's up :) Also Katie would not leave Boudy alone. She was scared to death of him at first, but after about an hour...she played with him non-stop it was so funny. We threw Boudy in the pool and he swam around a bunch but not sure if he liked it too much :) Its been SO hot every day here being in the 90's....I know that is nothing for AZ, but I just HATE it! Brandon wants us to move to either St. George or Arizona cause he hates the snow and all the cold...I'm the complete opposite though. Its been a fun week out here though, but I miss Brandon so much and can't wait to see him when he gets home Sunday night! He worked so hard in Iowa and made over 10 sales- what a stud! I have such a good husband :)

JERICHO

Can I just say that Jericho is the BEST series that Brandon and I have ever seen! We're lucky to have netflix instantly to our xbox, so we basically catch just about every movie and series. Brandon stumbled upon Jericho one late night, and we were up for 24 hours watching them all! I know how annoying it is to start a new season of something, and try to make time for it all, but Jericho only has 2 seasons, and its worth every second to watch them. It came out in 2007, but It doesn't really have any big actors in it... but it is the most intense, action-packed movie you'll ever see. Kinda gives you a glimpse of what the end of the world could be like...and helps you appreciate everything you have. We just loved it and we've REwatched the series 3 times ! We'd recommend it to anyone!

Boudy the thief!

so...my puppy has this obsession with our socks. He pulls one of every color sock out of our dirty clothes bin and takes them over to his bed. lol it cracks me up!
P.S. YES those are BOTH brandon and my socks. everyone gives us a hard time for wearing mismatched socks and how goofy they look ...But they are the best socks in the world! we get them at journeys and they're the best when we wear them with our globes. we have a huge sock bin full of them, so we just grab the first 2 we see and wear them. hahah THAT's why they are always mismatched :)

Sleeping habits

Can i just say, that Brandon and I have the WORST sleeping habits right now?! I guess its just that we're not all that busy right now, so we just stay up playing games for hours on end, and then don't care at all about when we wake up again. This past week, we've gone to bed at 3:30am and woke up around 1:00pm. What a waste of a day! From like 9pm-3am is all spent playing video games too! I'll sit and play Madden on XBOX for like 3 hours of it, or Brandon will play Call of Duty, and then there's our addiction to Settlers of Catan online. lol it just goes on! I mean...every sunday we are late to church and it starts at freakin 11am. This is ridiculous and we gotta fix it! Any ideas on how we can stop being so lazy?? Oh, and here is a picture that i snuck of Brandon drooling on our couch...hahahah look at the big puddle of drool under him. Yuck! Hopefully he won't see this on here, or else i'm in trouble haha.

Tending 6 cute kids

We were so lucky to have my Uncle Mike and Aunt Kathy Bennett call and ask us to babysit my cousins for ten days while they got away on a cruise. At first, I wondered how overwhelming it would be...but i was so wrong! They were the best kids ever..i was so impressed! All the kids basically did everything for themselves like get up early for seminary, shower, and walk to school. I had a blast cooking because I don't really get to do that at home without a stove top and oven. I discovered that I actually CAN cook lol...its pretty easy. We took everyone to chuck e cheese, played lots of games, and watched lots of movies. I'm gonna miss those Bennett kids!

Pre- Wedding
I was so thrilled that my mom's side of the family could come up for the wedding. Mimi, Pops, Lolo, Summer, and Colby. They stayed the night before the big day in Provo and Brandon and I met them there. We stayed up late laughing and hanging out. Lolo gave Brandon a cute haircut for the wedding. Colby harassed Mimi like he always does lol. Lolo did my hair and Summie helped do my make-up. We had a blast- it was SO good to see family.

Honeymoon

Brandon had been on several work cruises for his company, but i had never been on one...so I was stoked! We went for a week to Mexico visiting Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo. We stayed in a large ocean front view room..i thought the room was STILL small though :) I didn't get seasick at all...i though it was awesome how we literally slid in our bed at night because the waves were so big! It was hilarious..during the first part where you do the safety check and wear your lifejacket, Brandon and i hid in our room so we didn't have to go, but they came hunting us down. Luckily, it was just ending, but this guy was so ticked at us. We did a lot of rock climbing and ate SO much good food. Lobster and shrimp were a big hit...we kept asking for more servings. It was expensive, but we swam with dolphins in Cabo and it was a blast! Best thing i ever spent money on. There were a few newly married couples from BYU on board with us, so we hung out with them a lot...went to the beaches together, played games, and got in the hot tubs a lot. The best was when we went to a far off family own restaurant in Puerto Vallarta. Our cab driver recommended this place to us and drove us off into the jungle for it. We stuffed ourselves with the amazing food, and we got to eat a couple stories up high overlooking beautiful scenery. Brandon didn't know how to convert Pesos to Dollars, so he accidentally gave our waiter a crappy tip. It was hilarious, he came back over to us and said, "Uh, I do everything ok? You like ok? Food taste ok? I do something wrong?" We were like, "No way man...everything was perfect." Then Brandon got all embarrassed and asked if we gave him a bad tip. Turned out we had given him like $2 on a $45 meal. lol Brandon then tipped him plenty more and the guy was so happy. He told us to follow him, and then took us to this long and windy staircase that went a few more stories up...it overlooked even a BETTER view of everything and it was awesome up there. We just had a blast the whole week...I can't wait until Brandon takes me on our next cruise for his work :) :)

Wedding
We chose Oct 31st, because it was the only day my parents could come down from Washington. We joke that I chose it for Brandon so that he could remember, but its just the only day that worked out. We were married in the Mt. Timpanogos temple, and the reception was at my Uncle Mike Morley's home in Spanish Fork. The night of our wedding we were robbed while staying at the Anniversary Inn in SLC. Someone bashed open the back window of our 4runner and stole EVERYTHING (wedding jewelery, GPS, IPOD, all of my cd's) We couldn't do anything about it though cause we had our reception that next day and then we left the next day for Mexico for a week. Other than that though, we just tried to have a relaxing wedding, and it turned out really great! All of our family was able to come and it was really perfect :) Brandon smashed cake in my face though, so the guys held him down while I dished it right back at him :) We had some crappy luck to get robbed, but we made the most out of everything and it turned out great! It was SO great to see everyone there! Thanks everyone who came ;)

The Engagement

So I had just finished the hardest thing i have ever had to do- training for the Air Force at Lackland Air Force Base. I had been away from all friends and family for 7 weeks and put through hell as I became in the best shape of my life, and as tough as I had ever been. I got to call Brandon once or twice for a few minutes during that time. He expressed to me how he loved me, but wasn't ready to get engaged for a while. That kind of disappointed me but i went a long with it because i was head over heels in love with him. Brandon surprised me and came with my parents to my graduation on June 12th, 2008. We got one day to spend together in San Antonio until i left for my next set of training and it was a sunday. We went to church together on base, and i swore that i saw a box in his pocket. Immediatley it made me get my hopes up..but then i just got mad because i knew i was wrong. He took us to a playground off base at an elementary school where there was an outside basketball court. I was in no mood to play ball, but we had always had competitions while dating. Brandon said, "I just really miss playing ball with you." It was hot outside, and i was in my uniform and NOT wanting to play. He made us do a free throw competition despite my complaining. We had always made a deal that whoever wins in basketball is 'the master' and has to bow down to the other person. lol (really dorky i know ) We continued the competition and Brandon told me that he had specifically brought a video camera so he could tape me bowing down to him. Brandon lost the competition (on PURPOSE) and then got the video tape out. He then got down on one knee and asked me if I would be his wife. I of course said yes :) Later we saw that the video camera only recorded him getting down on knee and then shut off because the battery had died. hahahah

Our First Christmas!

Ever since before we were married, I've begged Brandon for a puppy. We talked about how we want a big dog, but that where we live now is small so we should get a cute little puppy. This Christmas....I got my wish. And i think he did a good job ;)
